I recently had a dream of a clock with fine golden hands that were pointing to eleven o’clock — or, as the saying goes, it was “the 11th hour.”
The definition of the eleventh hour is “something that happens at the last possible moment before it’s too late.”
It’s not too late, but it’s getting there.
I’m determined to get our commercial film project “Not Losing You” off the ground. The election of 2024 is coming. Our quarterback is eighty years old. Authoritarians and fascists are at the gates. Trans and queer youth are in jeopardy — along with the climate, democracy and so many other things. There’s lots to do.
You and the other folks on this blog are the base upon which this whole project is being built, and I need you like never before.
What do I need?
We need more donors on GoFundMe, and that could be you. Some of the folks who’ve already donated are parents of Trans youth, great neighbors, dear friends, co-workers, and the former Artistic Director of the Flynn, Arnie Malina. Thank you all so very much! You can’t imagine how grateful I am.
Our project needs to be shared with others who could be donors. On social media, through email, wherever. Please share our GoFundMe and/or the weekly spoof commercials I make.
We need film industry muscle. There are a few subscribers on this blog who I consider friends who have connections to some of the most powerful people in Hollywood. The rich and powerful in this business are not accessible to people like you and me (believe me, I’ve tried) — but to a few folks on this blog, they are. Hope you folks can reach out on our project’s behalf.
We need an Angel donor. Like an Angel investor or an Angel political donor. Or maybe a recently minted multi-millionaire or billionaire who sees value in what we’re doing.
